MediaBeacon R3volution of BrighTech Inc. is a very efficient and sophisticated Digital Asset Management solution, which represents contents of a file server wellformed in a web browser and let users with appropriate authorization upload and download assets. This can be done with image, audio, and video files as well as multipage PDF, Office, QuarkXPress and InDesign documents.

MediaBeacon uses the documents and folders of a file server, no special „archiving“ or the like is necessary. Once the path to the data is adjusted, MediaBeacon supervises it and its substructure automatic and independently. Contrary to many other asset management solutions, assets are immediately available after they are created on the file server.

Due to this automatic approach no additional action is necessary. Metadata is stored in the XMP format and can be added, changed and deleted at will. For faster access MediaBeacon copies all metadata additionally in an SQL database. The integration with file server products such as Windows 2003 Server, Mac OS X Server, Xinet FullPress and HELIOS EtherShare/ImageServer is seamless.
